  • Hint & Promise

I went out for a short walk this afternoon to check out the Tea Ceremony Museum garden.  In a few weeks the trees will be illuminated so that the colors can be enjoyed into the evening.  For now the color is just beginning to peek out.  I think I almost enjoy this stage as much as the full color stage, because of the promise they represent.  The promise that fall is coming :D

  • Having grown up in an area where most trees are non-deciduous, I, too, prefer the trees to have some green -- too much color represents for me the approach of a sort of death.

    • Since we cannot live in perpetual spring or fall, I much prefer winter to summer, so full color doesn't bother me. I think the coming of winter is why fall edges spring out as my favorite season. I love both spring & fall, but fall has a slight edge in the poll.
